Trusted Computer Solutions Wins “Distinguished Technical Communication Award”
SecureOffice® NetTop® 2 – Thin Client™ Administrator's Guide selected by Society for Technical Communications for outstanding product documentation
Herndon, VA, February 27, 2007 - Trusted Computer Solutions (TCS), a leading supplier of Cross Domain Solutions for industry and government, today announced it has received the “Distinguished Technical Communication Award” for outstanding product documentation of its SecureOffice® NetTop® 2 – Thin Client™ Administrator's Guide. The award was presented on February 10th at the 2006-2007 Technical Publications Competition sponsored by the Society for Technical Communication (STC) Washington, DC Chapter.
SecureOffice® NetTop®2 – Thin Client is used by government agencies to eliminate the need for multiple desktop computers when accessing multiple classified and unclassified secure networks. With NetTop2 - Thin Client, the user has a monitor, keyboard, mouse and thin client appliance on the desktop and is able to access all secure domains that they are authorized to access through an easy-to-use Windows environment. Unique to the NetTop2 solution, each level is securely separated from others by a trusted Linux operating system based on National Security Agency (NSA)-developed security mechanisms. This enforces a strong protection security policy that prevents cross-domain contamination.
“TCS invests heavily to ensure our customers have the most comprehensive and user-friendly product documentation available to support their mission of securely sharing information,” said Doug Hartman, vice president of product development for Trusted Computer Solutions. “We are pleased to receive this award which recognizes our efforts in this area.”
As a winner of the STC Washington, DC Chapter’s “Distinguished Technical Communication Award,” TCS will now go on to compete at the International Technical Publication Competition (ITPC) with those winners being announced during the STC Annual Conference in May.
