Trusted Computer Solutions and IBM Introduce First Linux Guards
for Secure Information Sharing
SecureOffice® Suite Facilitates Information Access and Dissemination
Across Federal Security Boundaries and Classified Networks
HERNDON, Va., August 22, 2006 — Trusted Computer Solutions, Inc. (TCS), a leading supplier of multi-level security and cross-domain information sharing applications for government and industry, today announced in partnership with IBM (NYSE: IBM), the launch of the TCS SecureOffice® suite of cross-domain guards based on Linux®. These are the first commercially available cross-domain guards running on Linux that incorporate the trusted functionality at the operating system level, thus helping to fulfill Federal Agency requirements for secure information sharing.
The SecureOffice suite, available from TCS, now offers government buyers a choice of Linux or Unix-based Solaris as the platform for cross-domain guards. The SecureOffice suite of guards is comprised of:
SecureOffice Pathways™: A bi-directional guard to transfer data from one security domain to both lower and higher classified networks;
SecureOffice Gateway™: An automated high-speed bulk transfer guard moving data from one domain to higher classification networks;
SecureOffice Releaser™: A high to low network data transfer guard supporting 2-person Reliable Human Review procedures; and
SecureOffice WebShield™: A guard providing browse-down capabilities from high classification networks to lower classified and unclassified networks.
These guards provide government customers more choice, lower cost, greater scalability and flexible platforms with more vendor independence. Soon to be available on the full line of IBM Servers, including the IBM System x™, IBM System p™, and IBM System z™, the SecureOffice suite of guard products offers a cost-effective solution that makes information sharing easier and more secure.

Designed to facilitate the access to and dissemination of information across security boundaries and classified networks, the SecureOffice suite of guards utilizes a new technology from TCS called the SecureOffice Omega Framework™. This framework provides a common architecture and a consistent interface for all TCS guards. Additionally, it can be used to quickly build new guards for differing formats and increased performance requirements.
