Location: Herndon, VA
Position Description: Trusted Computer Solutions has an opening for a highly talented Certification and Accreditation (C&A) Manager with strong management, interpersonal, writing, and technical skills. TCS's innovative products have received industry-wide recognition in their target market; this has in turn resulted in rapid growth for the company. To capitalize on this momentum, we are looking for a talented individual who will lead C&A efforts on a variety of sensitive military and commercial systems. This position is a unique opportunity to provide leadership in making real systems really secure!
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of engineers within a certification and accreditation professional services organization
- Focus on billable project support and TCS product certification and accreditation support
- Project and staff management, business development support, and serving as liaison to other services project and company product development.
- Create C&A project plans that identify the steps required to take customer systems through the C&A process.
- Interact directly with developers and program managers to lead the C&A steps required for a particular customer on a particular system in a particular environment.
- Coordinate with TCS staff and customers to create C&A documentation and facilitate security testing to achieve successful accreditation.
- Define certification and accreditation scope and requirements for new releases to meet needs of multiple customers.
- Take a leadership role in providing continuous improvements for the certification and accreditation community.
- Work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team, including accreditors, certifiers, and end user
Minimum Requirements
- Five years of experience leading a technical team.
- Five years of experience with C&A processes (DITSCAP, DIACAP, DCID 6/3, and/or NIST), including at least one year leading a C&A team.
- Strong technical writing, customer interaction, and team management skills
- Strong knowledge of information security requirements
- Proven ability to work and coordinate with multiple groups, including accreditors, certifiers, and end userss
- Dependable, self-motivated, highly organized, and able to multi-task with a variety of tasks and projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience with TCS product certification and accreditation efforts.
- Management experience within government contracting environment
- DITSCAP, DIACAP and/or DCID 6/3 experience
- C&A writing experience (SSAAs, SSPs, CONOPS)
- C&A requirements knowledge (DCID 6/3, SR 1-9, DoDD 8500.2)
- C&A testing experience (SRTMs, Test Plans & Procedures)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
Secure Systems Engineer
Location: Washington, D.C.
Role and Responsibilities: Immediate need for a Secure Systems Engineer to work at a large Customer Site in Washington, DC. Focus is on an enterprise level deployment of TCS SecureOffice®.
Position Requirements: Must have technical leadership and customer management experience. Must have Unix scripting, networking, & administration skills with strong emphasis on security. Windows 2000 administration & Citrix skills highly desired.
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI required.
Secure Systems Engineer
Location: Herndon, VA
Role and Responsibilities: TCS has an immediate need for a Secure Systems Engineer to support TCS´ SecureOffice® Trusted Workstation® product. Work activities include integration, testing, and enterprise deployments worldwide.
Position Requirements: Must have technical leadership and customer management experience. Must have Unix scripting, networking & administration skills with strong emphasis on security. Windows 2000/2003 administration and MS Terminal Services/Citrix skills highly preferred. Must be willing to travel 50%+ to worldwide locations.
Education: With BS degree: 6 years INFOSEC specialized experience or 14 years general experience. Without BS degree: 10 years INFOSEC specialized experience or 14 years general experience.
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI required.
Secure Systems Engineer
(2 positions available)
Location: Herndon, VA
Role and Responsibilities: The Secure Systems Engineer will support product integration, testing, training, and troubleshooting support within the DC Metro area and at regional service centers. The Engineer will also test new releases/version to ensure customer needs are met.
Position Requirements: 3+ years Solaris systems administration/integration experience, prior programming/SW development experience highly desirable, demonstrated experience working closely with customers to understand their hardware and software environment, requirements, processes, and network infrastructure.
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent years of experience.
Security Clearance: Active TS/SSBI required.
Software Developer
Location: Herndon, VA
Role and Responsibilities: The Software Developer will lead and develop a multi-level web-based content manager.
Position Requirements: Strong knowledge of Solaris, C programming, and CGI development. Experience with installation and customer relations a plus.
Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Security Accreditation Engineer
Location: Herndon, VA
Role and Responsibilities: TCS has an immediate need for a certification and accreditation (C&A) analyst with strong interpersonal, writing, and technical skills. As a successful recruit, you will oversee and direct the entire C&A effort on a variety of sensitive military and commercial systems.
Position Requirements: You will interact directly with developers and program managers to identify the steps required to take these systems through the C&A process. You will coordinate with TCS staff and customers to create C&A documentation and facilitate security testing to achieve successful accreditation. This position is a unique opportunity to assist in making *real* systems *really*secure!
Education: Bachelors Degree (Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred).

Secure Systems Engineer
Location: Champaign, Illinois
Role and Responsibilities: TCS has an immediate need for a Secure System Engineer to help port the existing TCS application suite to TCS Trusted Linux along with creation and integration of new information sharing products. Ideal candidate should be self-motivated and work well within a team. Candidate will provide guidance to other developers in remote offices. Position includes working with cross-platform application architectures and creative problem solving.
Position Requirements: 5 years of C/C++ development experience on Linux, Solaris or UNIX variants (Trusted Solaris programming a plus); 3 years experience with installation and configuration of applications on Linux, Solaris, or UNIX variants; Knowledge of Trusted Operating Systems (i.e. Trusted Solaris) and other Mandatory Access Control (i.e. SELinux) technologies preferred; Experience with integration and installation onsite is a plus; Plusses are: Experience with formalized software requirements and design processes, scripting, networking, GTK, java, apache, SQL.
Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
